Lynn Native Vargas Commits to Ohio State

The most notable news out of Lynn over the past day comes from the sports pages: a Lynn athlete named Vargas has committed to Ohio State, according to a report from Itemlive. On the community side, the Lynn Public Library has two family-focused programs on the calendar for later this week.

The Lynn Public Library has two programs set for Wednesday, Aug. 12: Messy Mornings, a hands-on program for young children, runs 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and the Teen Entrepreneur Speaker Series continues from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. The library's Teen Tech Space meets the following afternoon, Thursday, Aug. 13, from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Library summer hours remain Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., through Sept. 7.
