Lynn Spotlights King's Beach Cleanup and Road Work This Summer

Lynn's civic calendar this week centers on ongoing efforts at King's Beach and citywide road work, even as the Lynn Public Library rolls out a busy slate of teen and family programming. City Hall is also continuing to promote its Youth Summer Employment Program and a local food resources listing for residents.

TOWN HALL

The City of Lynn's website continues to spotlight several active seasonal initiatives out of the Mayor's office and city departments. Among them: the Youth Summer Employment Program, a Local Food Resources listing for residents facing food insecurity, and the 2026 King's Beach Summer Efforts, part of the city's continuing push to address water quality at the popular North Shore beach. The city is also directing residents to its Roadway Construction & Infrastructure Projects page to track paving and utility work happening around Lynn, along with a general advisories and notices page for updates from City Hall.

COMMUNITY & ARTS

Lynn Public Library is keeping a full slate of programming running for families and teens as its "Plant a Seed, Read" summer reading program continues toward Labor Day. The library's reduced summer hours remain in effect through September 7: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Friday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., with the building closed weekends.
