Lynn Board of Health grants Jolly Vapes 60 days to save its lapsed tobacco license. The board unanimously extended the license, which faced retirement under a January 9 regulation returning unused tobacco licenses to the board, after owner Jack said he has struggled to find a retail location and now has two properties awaiting zoning determinations from city officer Christopher Poole. "I scared off a few landlords with the lack of knowledge that I have," Jack told the board.

If neither location clears zoning within 60 days, the license will be retired. The board also heard updates on a new Stroke Awareness Grant with Mass General Hospital Salem, a pending state grant for a social service navigator, a second round of Community Transit Grant funding, and moved its next meeting to April 14 for Public Health Week.
