Lynn Council on Aging presses senior center staff on elevator escort rule and kitchen staffing. Senior Center Director Megan Best reported the center served 1,312 seniors in December, received $156,352 from the state's formula grant, and has $260,361 in available funds after transferring $385,760 toward payroll. Members questioned a policy requiring staff to accompany seniors in the elevator to the second floor, with one member saying it is "hindering folks' participation." The board also raised concerns about kitchen understaffing during busy lunches and learned the center does not require seniors to sign out when leaving the building.

Calvin, of the Friends of the Council on Aging, reported the group ratified revised bylaws in November and booked an April 1, 2027, restaurant fundraiser, while still seeking a vice chair, secretary and membership chair.
