LYNN — The Lynn License Commission reduced a license holder's suspension from 30 days to seven days and conditionally approved a new liquor license and approved a transfer. License holder Provenza argued his establishment was "the only one that I know in the last five years that's ever filed a written report contract" with the city, but commissioners still found a filing violation and ordered the closure, requiring surrender of the license to staff member Laura Lee. Separately, commissioners conditionally approved an all-alcohol license for the Pallet LLC function room at 16A City Hall Square, pending resumes and TIPS certificates for two managers both named Kimberly, and approved transferring Estefani's restaurant license to new owner William.
Lieutenant Tim Dunavin detailed a string of violent incidents, including an August 30 stabbing and two more assaults at Tequila's Bar and Grill, plus a cannabis dispensary sale to three 17-year-olds using a fake ID that passed the store's scanner. A dangerous hearing on the Tequila's incidents was set for October 27.
