Select Board · Meeting of February 24, 2026

LYNN — The Lynn City Council confirmed Attorney James LaManna as the city's next clerk and elections chief, replacing retiring Clerk Janet Rowe after 27 years. Council President Allensug called the clerk's role critical to "the administration of our elections during these precarious times of our democracy." Separately, councilors grilled DPW Commissioner Andrew Hall over snow removal after two storms dropped nearly four feet of snow, with Hall acknowledging drivers "approach 36 hours straight" and the city's $1.68 million snow and ice budget already running close to double that amount. The council also voted 8-1 to accept Richard Colucci's letter waiving a hearing on his removal from the Water and Sewer Commission, and voted to rescind a similar removal notice against Commissioner Vincent Lozzi Jr., who said he won't seek reappointment.
