Select Board · Meeting of April 14, 2026

LYNN — The Public Property Committee voted to award a bid to Atlantis Investments to redevelop the Multi-Service Center into a homeless-services hub with 44 new units of extremely low-income housing. Senior Advisor Daniel Smith said the roughly $2 million project would preserve long-term leases for My Brother's Table and the Healthy Streets Program while Elliott Community Human Services takes on supportive housing duties. Councilor Medjie-Madre asked that the final agreement "state that it's 100 percent affordable" before coming back to the council.

The same session confirmed John P. Slattery as city solicitor, 11-0, and split 6-3 on transferring the bankrupt Greatest Hits cannabis license to Lynn City Greens, with Councilor Field dissenting and Chief Financial Officer Mike Bertino demanding proof of paid taxes before the sale closes. The council also authorized $51,000 Essex Street and 44-unit Liberty Street property deals and filed Massachusetts School Building Authority paperwork for two aging elementary schools.
